not hard to imagine going to Washington DC with the best of
intentions.
Once
there you find out how the modern government really works. Being a
member of congress is more about making money than anything else.
Whether the money is for a special project, interest group in your
state or to support your
re-election,
it's all about the money.
With
time in office you meet influential people with money. Theses
people
want nothing more than for you to support what they want and that is
to make more money. Ultimately the people we voted in office will
succumb to human nature being persuaded by all the easy money.
We have term limits on Presidents for a reason and it's time to limit the time in office of all our representatives to prevent the anticipated corruption in government.
